The Lion and the Mouse Retellings

The children read the story  - The Lion and the Mouse Fable.
Here are their retellings...

The Lion and the Mouse

One day the lion was sleeping and then a mouse came along near the lion.  Next the lion woke up.  Then he said to the mouse “I’ve got you!”  The mouse said, “Let go, let go…I could help you one day.”  The lion roared so loud the trees fell down on top of the lion and the mouse said, “That’s why you don’t roar…”. Then the lion got caught. The mouse came out and helped him. Then the lion said, “thank you very much”.

The lion was asleep.  The lion woke up.  He caught him.  The lion let him go. He got caught in the net. The mouse came running and bit the net. The lion got saved.

Once upon a time there lived a lion and a mouse.  The mouse jumped onto the lion and the lion woke up.  He caught the mouse.  The mouse said, “Please let me go.  If you do, I will do what ever you want.”  The lion laughed with excitement and let the mouse go.  The lion then walked away into a net!!! Roar and roar and roar!  Suddenly a mouse appeared.  “Help me, help me,” said the lion to the mouse.  The mouse helped the lion by biting the net.  The lion said, “thank you”. And they lived happily ever after.

One day a lion was sleeping.  A mouse jumped on to the lion.  Next the mouse said “Eeek, Eeek, do not eat me. I will help you one day”.  The lion laughed his claws off.  He laughed a long time.  “Watch out lion,” said the mouse.  The lion walked into a net.  He cried. Then the mouse came. The mouse came to help by nibbling the net.  They are the best friends now and they lived happily ever after.

One day a mouse ran on top of a lion. The mouse was jumping on the lion.  When the mouse was jumping on the lion, the lion woke up.  The lion caught the mouse. “Please, please, let me go,” said the mouse. He let the mouse go and the lion walked into the jungle laughing.  But he did not see the rubbish bag hanging on a branch.  So he walked into the net. The lion was screaming for help.  But no one came to rescue the lion from the net. So the mouse came to rescue the lion. So the mouse let the lion go.  How did the mouse let the lion go?  He nibbled a hole in the rubbish bag.  So the lion came out of the rubbish bag.  So they became good friends.

Then the mouse said.  “I could help you one day…I could help you, real good”. Once upon a time there lived a lion.  A mouse crawled beside the lion.  But the lion went “Got you” to the mouse and mouse said “please let me go because I could help you one day”. “Oh, of course” and the lion let the mouse go.  He laughed and laughed all night.  But he did not see the net in front and he walked into the net.  The lion was in the net the whole entire night until the mouse came to help.  The lion got out of the net. The mouse nibbled a hole in the net and the lion said “Thank you” to the mouse.

And the lion let the mouse go.  After that the lion wasn’t looking where has was going and he ran into a net.  The lion was caught.  He roared and roared until midnight and the mouse came.  He bit the net and in the morning the lion was out of the net.  Little things can help big things.
